Orbit Rush

Orbit Rush has no accounts, no logins and no sign-up. It never asks for your name, your email address or your phone number, because it has nothing to do with them.
The first time you open the game it asks one question, before anything is collected and before the advertising software starts. Nothing about your play is sent anywhere unless you tap ACCEPT on that screen, and you can change the answer at any time in Settings.
This page explains exactly what that means. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.
Orbit Rush is published by IHOIT AS, in Norway. For anything on this page, including requests about your data, write to orbit@ihoit.no.
Your progress — best score, orbs, which sectors you have unlocked, which cosmetics you own and wear, your sound and consent settings — is saved on the device itself and is not transmitted anywhere. It is not backed up to us, because there is no account to back it up to. Deleting the app deletes it.
If you tap ACCEPT, the game sends anonymous play data using Google Analytics for Firebase. This is how we work out which parts of the game are any good — whether a sector is too hard, whether an offer is worth showing, whether people come back the next day.

Firebase gives your installation a random identifier so that two runs from the same device can be counted as one player. It is not your name, your email or your device's permanent serial number, and it is not linked to your identity. It is reset if you withdraw consent.
Country is worked out approximately from your IP address by Google, and the IP address itself is not stored by us.
Orbit Rush shows adverts through Google AdMob. Some you choose to watch in exchange for something in the game; occasionally one appears when you leave a run. This is how the game is paid for, and it applies whether or not you accepted the question above.
What your answer changes is how those adverts are chosen:
Non-personalised adverts still involve Google receiving some limited information, such as your approximate location and the fact an advert was shown, in order to serve it, cap how often you see it, and detect fraud. Google's handling of that data is described in Google's privacy policy and in AdMob's documentation.
Nothing collected is ever sold. It is not shared with anyone other than the service providers named on this page.
Open Settings from the title screen. The Anonymous play data switch turns collection on and off, and it works in both directions as many times as you like.

The game itself is identical either way. Nothing is locked, slowed, or made harder because you said no.
IHOIT AS is established in Norway, so the GDPR applies to this app through the EEA Agreement, and it applies wherever in the world you are playing.
Analytics and personalised advertising are processed on the basis of your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), given by tapping ACCEPT and withdrawable at any time in Settings. Withdrawing does not affect the lawfulness of what happened before you withdrew.
Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, as the providers of Firebase and AdMob. Data may be transferred outside the UK and EEA, including to the United States, under the transfer mechanisms described in Google's own terms.
Firebase Analytics event data is retained on the schedule configured in our Firebase project — currently 2 months — after which it is deleted automatically. Aggregate reports that cannot identify any device are kept indefinitely.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data. Write to orbit@ihoit.no and we will answer within one month.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Ours is the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet. If you live elsewhere in the EEA you may complain to your own national authority instead.
One honest limitation. Because the game has no accounts, the data it sends is tied only to a random identifier we cannot connect to you as a person. If you write to us asking for a copy of your data, we have no way of telling which identifier is yours, and we will not ask you for extra personal details in order to go looking — collecting more data to service a privacy request would defeat the point.
What you can always do without asking anyone is withdraw consent in Settings, which stops collection and discards the identifier, and uninstall the app, which removes everything held on the device.
Orbit Rush is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, write to us and we will delete what we can identify.
If what the app collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Material changes to what we collect will be put in front of you in the app rather than left here to be discovered.
